Shinsangwon
A tasty restaurant approved by anyone who has ever visited the restaurant! A restaurant where people from other far away areas visit during the Jinhae Gunhang Festival! The name is Shinsangwon.
01 | Visitor’s Report
Shinsangwon has its main building at Songhak‐dong, Jinhae‐gu, and its annex building at Yeojwa‐dong. Between the two, we visited the annex at the entry of Jinhae Station.
The annex of Shinsangwon is located on the second floor of the building. Doesn’t the atmosphere feel unusual~?
The entrance of the restaurant already attracts one’s attention. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was antique and magnificent!
There was a huge inside garden decorated, which had many charming props and many things to see~
Each one of the props exhibited the unique feel of China!
Shinsangwon is said to be a place personally run by a Chinese living in Korea, with 60 years of tradition! Maybe that is why there were many unusual decorations, which were fun to see from the entrance.
This is the interior of the restaurant. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt magnificent, however, the interior felt much more antique and moody~ The place seemed more majesty due to the extremely large hall!
Sitting around the round table would make this place suitable for important meetings.
This is the inside room of the restaurant. The place is silent and separated, thus, would be suitable for family gatherings!
There are baby chairs available for family groups, so do not worry when visiting with babies~/
This is the menu board. I noticed the summer special, and the rice, kimchi, pork, and beef they use are all produced in Korea!
The dishes were classified per ingredient, such as those using shrimps, abalones, and seafood and into course meals.
There were various types of dishes including those made with beef, chicken, pork, 잡품류, shark’s fin, sea cucumber, and chilled vegetables, thus, I could not decide what to eat! ㅠㅠ
The meals and beverages were also available.
These are the basic side dishes. It is similar to other Chinese restaurants, and I could see that elaborate efforts were fully filled into the china!
We ordered spicy seafood noodle soup and Sichuan‐style noodles with black soybean sauce. The price was KRW 6,000 for spicy seafood noodle soup and KRW 7,000 for Sichuan‐style noodles with black soybean sauce, and unlike other restaurants, the food was served in brassware!
The soup of spicy seafood noodle soup was refreshing and had a deep taste that relieved my stomach. The noodles were thin and soft, and most of all, I enjoyed the clean soup!
And this is Sichuan‐style noodles with black soybean sauce, which is the most famous dish at Shinsangwon. Can you see the shiny noodles~? Unlike the general noodles with black soybean sauce, the sauce is served separately!
You can eat this dish by mixing the sauce with noodles like this~ Personally, I enjoyed the Sichuan‐style noodles with black soybean sauce more than the spicy seafood noodle soup!
This food surely had a different taste from general noodles with black soybean sauce, and the spicy sauce and crunchy vegetables were well mixed with the noodles, allowing to really enjoy my meal! I really recommend you to try the Sichuan‐style noodles with black soybean sauce~
