[MasanHoiwon-gu | Attraction]Beopseongsa Temple

Beopseongsa Temple

If you want to visit a temple, but cannot make a long trip?
How about a small but picturesque temple in the middle of the city?

01 |Visit

We visited Beopseongsa Temple, located in the center of the city.

The entrance to the Beopseongsa Temple can be seen between the small alleys.
When we walked up close, the paintings on the wall and the inside of
the temple caught our eyes~
The quiet and elegant ambience of the temple could be felt.

When you look to the left of the main entrance to the temple,
there is this large memorial stone installed!
It was amazing to see that a temple like this where we can feel the nature,
was located in the center of the city!

This is the inside of the temple.
I was surprised by how small it was, but we were still able to get a feel of a temple.

This stone pagoda was built as well!
This pagoda is a lot bigger in real life.
It blends in well with the building located behind it~

As the mini garden was decorated like this,
we were able to see the harmony between the temple and the nature.

The cute Buddhist monk dolls on top of a small stone pagoda!
Just a look at this place seem to bring tranquility to our minds~

The temple was not as big or grandeur as I had expected,
but this quiet small Beopseongsa Temple
that was in perfect harmony with the nature, was great.
How about paying a visit for a leisurely relaxation?

[MasanHoiwon-gu | Attraction] Muhak Mountain

Muhak Mountain

Changwon’s pride, Muhaksan Mountain!
Go on a fun mountain climbing trip, and enjoy the clear green landscape of Muhaksan Mountain on a great day~

01 |Visit

This is the small valley that you will see before starting the climb in full.

You can fully feel the nature.
The sunny weather and the green landscape of the mountain creates a great harmony.

Post board where you can leave a ribbon in celebrating the trip around the Muhaksan Mountain dulle-gil trail, is also available,
so you can create memories here. This is the cypress forest mineral spring.

Although it looks clear and cool, it did not pass the water quality test,
so it would be better not to drink it.

As many mountain climbers come to visit,
for it is a famous mountain for climbing, there are many signs throughout the mountain to inform them of direction,
current location and etc~

Please note it as reference for when you plan your climbing course!
It also has wooden steps like this.

It would be safer than dangerous rocky paths~

You can see the top of the Muhaksan Mountain from afar!
This spot also has signs and wooden steps.
Isn’t the harmony of nature and wooden steps just beautiful?
This is the green scenery of Muhaksan Mountain.

This spot also has signs and wooden steps.
Although we came during the summer,
I thought that it would also be very beautiful to visit during fall,
when the leaves turn color, or in winter when it snows.

This is the view of the Masan’s scenery from the top of the Muhaksan Mountain.
I thought that the overall feel of the Muhaksan Mountain scenery,
resembled that of Seongsan Ilchulbong Tuff Cone of Jeju Island~

The wooden steps are available here as well.
Each of the steps are carved with a date!
Taking a photo on a step with your date of birth carved in, would be memorable.

This is the pretty flower blooming on top of the mountain.

As the mountain is extremely high, the top was filled with clouds.
It felt like I was close to the sky.

This is a closer scenery of Masan from the top of the Muhaksan Mountain.
Masan landscape which hold a combination of the city, mountain,
and the ocean in harmony.Just a single look gives out a cool feeling!

This is the commemoration monument
which you can see when you get to the top of the Muhaksan Mountain.
I think that it would feel great to come up to the top of the mountain and take a photo in front of the commemoration monument!

02 |Information

This is the trail of Muhaksan Mountain,
which is the mountain that comes to the minds of many people when they think of Changwon.
The path appeared to be very winding and complicated,
which may be because it is a mountain which is close to the city~

The Muhaksan Mountain climb guide map,
informs of the origin of the name of Muhaksan Mountain,
in having being named it due to it’s resemblance of the crane,
and various climb routes.
Refer to the various climb routes!

As the parking lot is big, you can rest assured even when you bring a car!

This is the public restroom and the start of the full trail.
This trail is near Masan Girl’s Middle School.
As Muhaksan Mountain has many trails, there are also many start routes~

[Masanhoiwon‐gu | Tourist Attraction] Palyongsan Doltap Ipgu Park

Palyongsan Doltap Ipgu Park

Stone towers piled for 20 years by an individual! This is Palyongsan Doltap, where new stone towers are being created even now.

01 | Visitor’s Report

This is Palyongsan Ipgu Doltap Park. At one glance, you will be able to see that this is a stone tower park, by seeing the well‐piled stone towers from the entrance!

Mount Palyong with an altitude of 382m, where the Doltap Park is located, was given its name because eight dragons descended and came down to the place from the sky.

Residential areas were demolished and a park was formed, as many tourists from the nation visited the area. This fact shows that this area is settling as a tourist attraction!

A way towards the tapgol appears when heading to the right. You can view the stone towers when going straight~~~ towards this way!/

The path towards the stone towers is well organized! Anyone can easily climb up.

This is Seonghwangdang Stone Tower, which is the first stone tower coming into view. As people may be surprised when a group of towers appear suddenly without notice, this Tower plays the role of a guide, letting visitors prepare by informing that the hallowed ground of stone towers will start to appear! I was really surprised by the stone towers that appeared suddenly~ However, it is too early to be surprised!

Because the valuable towers must be well preserved, without knocking them down, CCTVs were placed.

The path divides into two ways when continuing to climb up. From here, when going towards the stone tower direction, a colony of stone towers appear! It was a moment I could not help letting out an exclamation ~

Isn’t it fabulous~? I have seen a good number of stone towers in the past, however, have never seen stone towers as large in number and made with such elaborate efforts. The more surprising thing is that, these stone towers have been piled by Mr. Sam‐yong Lee from March 23, 1993, giving sincere efforts in each one of the stones, with the desire of national unification, after he keenly felt the sadness of separated families. Can you believe that one person piled such a large amount of stone towers~? I was truly impressed. ㅠㅠ

A total of 962 stone towers have been completed so far, and he is still piling stone towers, targeting a total of 1,000 stone towers.

Since the stone towers have been reported through the media, this place is settling as a tourist attraction sought by many people, not only domestic tourists, but also foreign tourists! A work that started with an earnest mind by one person became a place loved by many people, which is why this place felt as a more meaningful place to me.

Reverse icicles were formed as well, by such elaborate efforts. I wished to see the mystic reverse icicles, however, I could not, due to the warm weather. ㅠㅠ

The stone towers were piled extremely delicately, elaborately, and meticulously, so that they do not collapse even by a typhoon. You will not regret visiting this place, so please visit!
02 | Information on Facilities

There is a foot volleyball field at the right side of the entrance.

You can also see an airbrush that may be used to brush away the dust after mountain climbing! This really seems useful~

There is a restroom on the left side of the entrance, so please use before climbing!

There is also a comfortable pavilion to avoid the hot sunlight.
