[Masanhappo-gu/Attraction]Moonshin Art Museum

Moonshin Art Museum

A city museum was built on the slope of Changwon-si Choosan-dong,
in accordance with the will of the artist Moonshin,
who indicated that he ‘wants to dedicate an art museum to his beloved hometown’,
as he played a major role in spreading the sculpture art of Korea.
Let me introduce the Moonshin Art Museum,
that holds the artistic soul of the sculptor Moonshin.

01 |Visit

We have arrived at the Moonshin Art Museum.
On a sweltering hot summer day, on top of a hill in Choosan-dong,
there was a magnificent garden.
The art museum was indeed filled with beautiful exhibitions and buildings.
It would also be a great place to come with a loved one, as it was calm and tranquil.

This is the map of the outdoor sculpture museum.
Our tour consisted of mainly looking around the inside of the art museum,
but artist Moonshin’s works were displayed not only inside the building,
but many pieces were located outside of the building as well.

This was indeed a very tranquil place with mountains, ocean, and the sky.

The first floor of the museum exhibits the history of artist Moonshin,
various drawings and sculptures.

The exquisite statues seemed to bear the artistic soul of artist Moonshin.

2nd floor also exhibits many works.
Although the space was small, it displayed many meaningful works~
As there are many buildings, it takes quite a bit of time to look around.
There are also many special exhibitions that are held here so please refer to the Moonshin Art Museum’s website
