[Seongsan‐gu | Tasty Restaurant] Hwangso Nakji

Hwangso Nakji

If you wish to eat plump octopus, this is the place to go! This is the Hwangso webfoot octupos at Hwangso Nakji with good taste when thinking of the price range.

01 | Visitor’s Report

This is Hwangso Nakji, clean from its exterior. The name was given because it is said that a sick bull (meaning of hwangso) may stand up right away after eating octopus (meaning of nakji)!

There is a shoe rack at the entrance of the restaurant. You can use this shoe rack to prevent your shoes from being stolen.

This is the inside hall of the restaurant. You can see that it is wide and open! Outside the window, you can see the downtown of Seonsangu. It was clean and refreshing~

Please remember that you can park at the basement floor of the building! The parking lot is free for one hour if you receive a parking stamp at the restaurant.

This is the menu board. You can see various types of dishes, and among such, the lunch special attracts one’s attention!

Living up to its name, the restaurant provides various dishes, such as stir‐fried raw octupos, hot pot, octopus soup, grilled food, and sashimi. One unique feature is that this restaurant also serves pizza!

As the octopus that makes bulls spring up to their feet, the logo of the restaurant is also cute~

02 | Tasting

The dishes we ordered were the lunch special and stir‐fried octopus. Doesn’t the table look full~? The price was KRW 5,000 for the lunch special and KRW 7,900 for the stir‐fried octopus, making a total of KRW 12,900.
This is nakjju bibimbap. The taste of mixed bean sprouts, laver, lettuce and stir‐fried nakjju was crunchy and delicious!

I wished there was more of the nakjju in the bibimbap, however, I was able to have a plentiful meal, as short‐necked clam stew was served together in the lunch special! In particular, the stew was so refreshing, I could not stop my hands heading towards the stew.

This is stir‐fried octopus! Can you see the huge‐sized octopus over there~? The visual and taste were both the best! The texture of onions and lettuces was crunchy, and the octopus was soft and tender, rather than being tough, probably because of using live octopus instead of frozen ones!

You can eat a full meal when mixing it with the bibimbap that is served together! Stir‐fried octopus was richer in quantity compared to nakjju bibimbap, as there was leftovers even after eating with rice~ Because the food was not too spicy nor too sweet, I was able to eat it all without wanting to stop.
